Marketing books you'll never get to read

Yes, I have read each of these marketing books and have posted my own reviews on the good ones here. It's a reminder for me and a time-saver for you. This blog saves you time by shortlisting the must-read books. Look out for the 'pearls of wisdom' per book. The pearl I get might not always be the main idea the author was trying to put across (sometimes it is) but at least you get my take on things. Purple Cow - by Seth Godin

If there is one book in 2005 I recommend all clients to read, it's 'Purple Cow'. This book is definitely a life-changer for anyone in Marketing. Seth has written a best-seller, a classic, and says 'something remarkable is worth talking about ... It's a Purple Cow. Boring stuff is invisible. It's a brown cow.' Pearl# 1: Who looks at brown cows when right in the middle of the field is a PURPLE cow? So create a purple cow. I say you should read this book no fewer than three times and learn how to transform your business by being remarkable.
