Marketing books you'll never get to read

Yes, I have read each of these marketing books and have posted my own reviews on the good ones here. It's a reminder for me and a time-saver for you. This blog saves you time by shortlisting the must-read books. Look out for the 'pearls of wisdom' per book. The pearl I get might not always be the main idea the author was trying to put across (sometimes it is) but at least you get my take on things. Free Prize Inside - by Seth Godin

It's a shorter book than it looks when you first pick it up. The book is over in 183 quick pages, plush over 50 pages of 'footnotes', updated at Seth's site: www.freeprizeinside.com.

I got some great tips about championing great marketing ideas once you have had them. Pearl #1: There is a right and a wrong way about getting a great marketing idea launched, supported and built - and this book shows you the right way. When innovating, learn to go to the 'the edges' and beyond. Staying in the safe middle just doesn't cut it! Pearl #2: Practice 'edgecraft' or forget it because that's exactly what your customers will do enless your innovation is truly at the 'edge'.
